Construction Details:

My mom made the basic costume using an ice skater's costume and costume satin. She also made the sailor collar from another pattern. That and the bows I attached with snaps so they can come off and I can wash it if need be without having to worry about the bows being messed up. There was also no way of getting the costume off if I had sewed the collar on because it pulls on like a leotard. The bows are made from costume satin material, the edges hemmed and then gathered in the middle in a "bow" shape. The green jewel is a giant "googly" eye that I painted with nail polish. The choker is merely a ribbon with a snap. The gloves are from Party City and I used the extra satin to make the green trim which is attached with velcro. I also added the part above the skirt. The shoes are from the thrift store and painted green and the tiara actually made from several layers of paper, then painted with fabric paint and a jewel stuck in the middle.

Personal Thoughts:

supposed to be part of group that didn't work out but I still loved cosplaying her. I always related to Jupiter. We are both tall, strong and want to protect our friends but still want to be feminine and pretty.
