Construction Details:

For the headpiece I made a cover and slipped it over a headband, then had stitched the extra fabric down. The ribbon and extra "Wing" bits are hot glued on. the big spade is two pieces of green paper that I covered in mod podge the glued together with tissue paper between them to give it dimension. The dress is actually below the knee and when I cut it out, I cut it into a petal shape. I cut out a second layer and stitched the two together then turned inside out to give a finished edge which I did for all the petals. There are three layers of petals on the bottom of the skirt, one green, two white. It was gathered and petticoats were used to give it the poofy shape with ribbon on the inside to help hold it at the height it needed to be. The apron follows the pattern almost exactly, I just changed out the ruffle on the sides for more petals. There is fishing line in the bottom of it to give it the "hilly" shape. The gloves were bought at Party City and I added the petals which I also did for the thigh highs. I made slipper covers and the ribbon is velcroed on so I can take it on and off. For the collar I used a pattern and added the scalloped edges. I bought a whisk at Walmart and painted it and attached a ribbon. The necklace was bought online.

Personal Thoughts:

I was trying to get a friend of mine to agree to cosplay with me and had suggested some things but she didn't really like them. She was the one that suggested Shugo Chara and I had already thought about doing Amulet Clover. So I set out to make both our costumes (she was Amulet Spade).
