MAKE COSTUME FOR BOYFRIEND. STEAL COSTUME FROM BOYFRIEND. DONE.

okay so there's more to it than that.

the shirt was purchased from Old Navy. I printed out the Smashing Pumpkins logo and traced it onto card stock. I cut out the design to make a stencil. I didn't want to use typical fabric paint since most of it dries puffy, stiff, or shiny. I took a leap of faith and tried acrylic - what do you know, it worked. instead of looking painted or printed on, it looks like the typical printing technique used on those "vintage" style t-shirts you see around. pretty proud of myself for that too. this was back in 2010 and it's held up to several washings since then!

I realize this is the inaccurate shirt for this cover, but this was about as last-minute as a cosplay can get. plus I have the same logo tattooed on my left wrist, so I think it's appropriate ;)

the parka was a Christmas gift for my boyfriend in 2011. since we live in Arizona where you need a heavy jacket once every ten years, I opted for a hoodie instead. the fur trim is from Joann's and is machine-stitched on. the X-men patch is from a seller on Etsy [whose name I no longer have! sorry!] and hand-stitched on [and ironed a little for reinforcement].
Personal Thoughts:
AmaRobot made me do it
