About this Costume
Construction Details:
BODYSUIT: Used a bodysuit pattern and altered it to have the special seams (by altering, I mean I cut it apart and applied seam allowances, woo!). The material was a 4-way stretch matte vinyl I got from spandexhouse (I think). I used craft foam for the various accent pieces on the sides and middle.

CHESTPLATES: I initially used acrylic but it was difficult to heatform without bubbling and cracking. After searching around the 405th and RPF I decided to use PETG, a material used often in vacuumforming for visors. Got some sheets from Amazon, cut out the pieces with a scrollsaw, and glued the layers together around the edges with E6000 (couldn't get ahold of the proper cement). Using my heatgun and a silicon breast form (like the ones you put in your bra to make your boobs look bigger) I heat formed the plates to conform to my chest. I attached them to the suit with clear Fabric-Tac.

ACCESSORIES: The utility belt and leg holster were purchased online from an air soft supply store.

CHIN: I modelled the chin from paperclay and spray painted it matte black. Glued the pieces to a black zentai hood with E6000 glue but I'm looking for a better alternative.

SWORD: My dad and I made the sword from scrap wood in the workshop. Could've been better, but great for the time being.

Styling Notes
Trimmed it heavily all around to create layers for easier spiking. To create the spikes I grabbed a chunk of hair, backcombed the base to keep it sticking up, hairsprayed, then set with blowdryer on low. Also used a flat iron to make the hair flip out.
Wig Review
Love love love Arda's wigs, they are so easy to work with in creating spikes.
