About this Costume
Construction Details:
The underpart of the outfit was made from draping pink cotton over my dress form, and I added black jersey for the neck part. It is all hand sewn.

The outer part is made from my own patter (Expect for the sleeve, which was made from a sleeve pattern) It is made from a pink satin to which I used the underside of to avoid it being shiny) I pleated black and white cotton and hang sewed them onto the outer outfit. The white strips on the sleeve are again, hand sewn and are made from bias tape.

What I have dubbed as the "butt flaps" are made from the pink satin and black cotton. I added wire in them so they will be more flexible. They are attacked to a belt that is looped underneath the outer outfit.

The black feathers are about 4 boas that...you guessed it hand sewed on (I did ALOT of hand sewing for this costume)

Her weapon is made from a thick poster board that was cut and sanded into it's shape. I made it so it can be broken apart and made easier to travel (Otherwise it be over 6ft tall)

Armor is all made from craft foam.

Sandals are made from yoga mats. What I did was I traced a pair of flip flops and cut out several panels. I hot glued them all to each other and laced strips of black cotton through them. Then I took more hot glue and added tracks to the bottom (So I wouldn't slip). The socks are a normal pair of socks that I turned into my own tabi socks.

...And I think that is it.
Personal Thoughts:
Oichi is just my baby. I love her character so so much. She was one of the first character I wanted to cosplay from the series. Getting the cosplay her is so much fun, (Despite her being a tragic character and all.) Plus this was such a huge challenge for me, I'm so proud of this cosplay! It was a labor of love!

Styling Notes
Not much styling went into it. All I needed to do was cut small bangs into the wig. Other then that it was perfect.
