About this Costume
Construction Details:
I actually hand patterned the coat based off of one I already own. The fabric is a sturdy weave that almost feels like canvas. It is fully lined with basic lining fabric (feels like cheap satin).
The collar and the front closure are interfaced, the cuffs are not.
The pocket "sign" was made with an iron on transfer, and the design was printed from a high quality image I found online.
Personal Thoughts:
This costume is not quite done! I still need to make a headband and a ponytail wrap, and possibly some TARDIS window pins for the collar.
This was not so much a difficult costume as it was a time consuming one - I want this coat to function as a part of my wardrobe, so I made it as professionally as I know how, which meant lots and lots of ironing.
