About this Costume
Construction Details:
Really simple. For his body, I got a gray hoodie and painted the front pocket with a mix of fabric paints. I bought some goggles and used silver spray paint on them. I painted the lenses with a combination of green and blue model paint. I made another set of lenses that I can see through so I can simply wear them all the time. I cut some plastic that is tinted at least close to the right color and simply laid them on top of some clear lenses. They fit right inside the cup and are simply held in place when screwed in. Love it! I'll just wear some jeans and sneakers to finish it off.
Personal Thoughts:
I love Invader Zim. I absolutely love G.I.R. He does not get enough love. One day the idea came to me to do a gijinka version of G.I.R. It's really simple and fun. I'm hoping sometime to do a gijinka of his dog disguise too.

Sharpies
Styling Notes
I figure it took me 4 hours overall to get it colored. I started by working my way up from the bottom, weft by weft. Once I got about 3/4 of the way up, I switched to going from the top down. It took 6 Sharpies, but it looks awesome.
Once I was done coloring it, I washed it out and styled it with some gel.
Wig Review
I was originally just going to leave the hood up all the time, but the more I thought about it, the more a wig seemed like the best thing to finish it off. I was so right!
