Construction Details:

I have a basic pattern I use for simple JSKs already, so putting this together was a breeze. The only difficulty was that Spoonflower is pretty terrible at printing on the grain, and a pattern like this NEEDS to be on the grain. I had to cut things a little oddly in places since I had to follow the print, so I used a far heavier cotton to line the JSK top than I normally do. The creeper face was satin stitched on, and the back is shirred and has corset lacing. I dyed the lace at the hem too.

Personal Thoughts:

I have a very bizarre passion for Minecraft, and an even larger and more bizarre passion for creepers. One day I went on Spoonflower, found that someone had already uploaded the creeper pattern as a fabric print, and bought three yards of it to make this crazy dress. I make lolita dresses all the time, but this is hands down my favorite.

Hopefully I will be able to add more photos of this dress soon since I don't have pictures of it with the embroidery yet. It now says "That's a very nice everything you have there..." on the side of the skirt :D.
