About this Costume
Construction Details:
Necklace is a series of four layered beads/pendants on a leather piece I stitched up. The sleeves are an original pattern of knit, fishnet, and elastic and the white is stitched with a marine needle and embroidery thread. The corset (HNGH) was modified from a Laughing Moon corset pattern and filled with flat and steel boning (the back is elastic) while the blue design is puff paint. The blue sash is a knit and the red sash is a poplin with the design puff-painted on. The pants were a clearance item from Target and the belt is furniture vinyl decorated with sequins. The leg armor is a real 8-10oz leather belly that was cut out using a personal pattern, glued together, stained, leather punched, laced in the back, then adored with the decorative leather pieces and "studs" (secret as to what those are ;] ). The socks were bought and dyed and the sandals are from Payless.
Personal Thoughts:
HNGH SAIKA. CHRIST THIS COSPLAY. This idea came months ago during a Basara Christmas party where I joked that I should be Saika and bekalou should be Keiji and we should have a crack v-day shoot...and I opened my fat mouth so it happened LOL;; I was really honored to cosplay a badass lady from Basara (since there's only five or so FFFF) and be next to such a wonderful Keiji who showered me with affection I COULDN'T RETURN TO BE IN CHARACTER GHREOUGAHEGUO;;; ANYWAYS. I struggled on the leather but it was a great learning experience and DEFINITELY. REVISITING. THE CORSET (so much bare chest the first time it was scary... oAo). Anyways, definitely pleased with this costume challenges and I now support this couple LOL;;
Wig Details
Wig Brand
Arda Wigs
Wig Name
Inigo
Original Color:
Ginger Blonde
Styling Time
90 minutes
Wig Quality Rating
5 / 5.00
How was the wig colored?
dye bath
Styling Notes
Thanks to bekalou for dying the wig. Ginger blonde had too much yellow so a dye bath in brown softened it just enough. Then feathered some of the ends so would look thinner.
Wig Review
Inigo was a great choice though and I approve of the new Arda wig.
