Construction Details:

This was my first cosplay. I had basically no sewing skills at the time, so the kimono was bought. My friends helped me mix and apply the paint to the kimono and obi. In order to get the right effect, the paint had to be applied while I was wearing the whole shebang. Fun. :)

EDIT: To celebrate 5 years of cosplaying, I decided to rewear this costume and get a nice photoshoot in it with Soulfire Photography. It was so much fun. Also, makeup is Kryolan Aquacolors, and took about an hour to apply.
