Construction Details:

I originally made this sort of quickly for Aki-con, then recently touched it up for a photo shoot. This is specifically the manga variant, and I based the colors on a single image I was able to find with one of the girls in uniform.

This is also my second attempt at wig styling- it turned out much better than the first. I styled it, and a friend (delimit-insanity.deviantart.com, although she doesn't hang there much lately. She is also the photographer.) cut it for me.

The white accent on the boot was something I made- it laces onto the boot and goes under the arch of the foot, but all of the black is just the boot itself.

I also made the Nii-san plush. It looks much better from the front than the back, but nevertheless it's very cute. The arms (but not the legs) are button-jointed and poseable.

I'm also finally figured out how to put a hidden pocket in a pleated skirt! It seems so obvious now that I know how to do it, but there you go. (Shirt and skirt were also made by me, from patterns I drafted.) I also fixed up the tie for this shoot, because before the paint had smudged all over the place and looked messy and the stripes needed to be neatened up.

Styling Notes

This was fairly simple- a low ponytail on one side with roses, leave some bangs hanging out. The cut was done by a friend (who is also the photographer).

Wig Review

It's my second attempt at styling a wig. It turned out much better than the first.
