So far, my Chun Li cosplay is the only cosplay I currently own that is not homemade. However, I would like to make my own version of her costume. Here’s a photo:

I used platform boots to give myself some height. It may not be game-accurate, but I’m very petite and could use every inch!

These spiked bracelets however, were made by me.

I went with a more exaggerated look due to the fact that the spiked bracelets are one of the most iconic features of Chun Li and I wanted to make them stand out. PwnStar suggested this and I totally agreed with it. If anyone knows me, I am not one that likes “typical” or “normal” things. Personally, a smaller size would be a bit boring.

A prototype of the bracelets were made by PwnStar which I used earlier here. They are entirely made out of foam and sprayed with spray paint. Here I am pictured with PwnStar at NYCC ‘11. They were nice, but the issue was that they were too fragile and kept getting damaged throughout the crowd. Plus, I also wanted to attempt to make my own pair of bracelets and used what I learned to make my own version.
