About this Costume
Construction Details:
The ankh was the first thing I bought for her. We were at the yearly Renaissance Faire at Ohio State when I saw it. I checked with my hubby about the size, but I knew that was the ankh for me. I got some black cord to replace the chain so now it hangs just a little bit lower and looks a little better.
The cami I've had for a few years, so that was easy. The jacket I actually picked up initially for Didi. I got it at Goodwill. When I saw it, I knew I had found the right jacket. The jeggings I had also picked up initially for Didi. They're from Target and they're a little faded, but I like it. I was going to go with skinny jeans, but they didn't have them in my size. Luckily the jeggings were right behind me and were in my size!
The belt was from Amazon and seems to no longer be there. Huh. Well, when I bought it I wanted something that would work both for Death and Live Aid!Freddie. That was this belt. It fits wonderfully, is really flexible, and has the grommets so it'll fit no matter what!
I decided to go with the Laces and Lace boots I originally bought for Dawn. They look so nice and they're so comfortable, I figured why not wear them for Death?
Personal Thoughts:
When I finally started reading The Sandman series, I fell in love with Death. I think it's because her attitude is so awesome and fun. So I decided to dive right in.In the course of my diving I found many many instances of her sitting with the cup of coffee/tea online, but I couldn't find where it was from. I wanted to make sure of the source before I went any further. I want to give credit where credit is due. Then I finally found out that it was from Death: The Time of Your Life as one of the covers. Now that I knew where it was from, I plunged in.

Styling Notes
I removed the ponytail wefts with an X-Acto knife because all of my seam rippers were hiding from me. Also I wanted to have the option of using the wefts for another wig if needed. Once that was off it just needed some steam and a little hairspray and it was ready to go!
