About this Costume
- Construction Details:
The "dress" is actually two separate pieces, top and skirt, sewn from black satin and tulle using modified pattern. Eyelets are added down the side of the skirt through which red ribbon is strung through. Brooch is one of my own, black opera gloves are from my wardrobe, earrings are painted cardboard, lilies are from a dollar store.
Hair and makeup took me 2 hours, but it was totally worth it!
- Personal Thoughts:
- Which Goth girl doesn't love Death from Sandman? :D
I decided to do this version of the character because I am not attracted to her "usual" look, and this dress is fabulous without showing any skin at all. I am considering remaking it out of patent vinyl with an underbust corset, because I am clearly a masochist.
