Construction Details:

This was the first costume I was ever really proud of, which is awesome because I adore Alice. I used McCall's pattern M4948, but had to alter it quite a bit. Most often forgotten is that Alice (in Disney's 1951 animated film) does not have cuffs around the sleeves, nor is her collar white. This pattern didn't even have a collar, so I referred to an online tutorial to draft my own. I also made the sleeves less 'poofy,' and drafted the top part of the apron, so as it was not sewn in and was the correct shape (which is also commonly forgotten D:). I hope to find flat Mary Jane's one day. .-.; There's also some minor details to fix. And, just because I hold myself to insane levels of perfectionism, I'll probably whip up some bloomers before I wear them again. (Because she does, infact, wear a petticoat and bloomers, too. x3)
