Construction Details:

My first ever costume! This costume took me nearly a year to make give that it was the first large project I ever undertook. It has two main parts: the white dress underneath was made off a Grecian dress pattern, though I had to make a few structural changes, including the large slit up the front. The top blue coat was constructed from three different patterns that were spliced together and the gold triangles were added afterwords, and then each was finished by hand. All the fabrics were cottons, the blue being a slightly stiffer fabric to give the coat shape. The jewelry was pieced together from gold hoops and a necklace with the dangling pieces added on. The shoe covers were made free-form. All in all, this is still my favorite costume of all time.
