About this Costume
Construction Details:
First off, thanks to Jessie (Rufflebutt) for the pattern! Bunny suits are MUCH more difficult to construct properly than it looks, and a good pattern can make or break it. Having this pattern actually cut out a lot of the time it takes to make one, so she rocks!

I based this costume off of official artwork of Lina that was based off of the OVA, as she is with Naga in the reference.
I had to first pattern out the suit and construct a complete mockup (zipper and all!), and thanfully I did since everyone is shaped and built different. I had to make a few adjustments here and there because bunny suits are made out of a non-stretch fabric, but have to fit like a glove! It actually ended up being two phases of mock-ups, the first version was not long enough for my torso so I had to remake it with the adjustments necessary, as well as 'to fit' my proportions.

I used a nice red dupioni silk for the bunny suit, and there are also two other layers to it - a lining fabric, and a stiff layer of coutil for the boning channels. I used both spiral and flat steel boning where appropriate.

Personal Thoughts:
I always wanted to make a bunny suit - I find them to be really cute and sexy! Lina Inverse is one of my favorite characters by far, so it gave me the perfect opportunity to make one! This is the first of what I anticipate to be...MANY Lina cosplays.
