Construction Details:

I had wanted to cosplay someone from TF2 for a while, but being 4'11" and incredibly not manly, I felt like I couldn't pull anyone off except maybe Scout. And I already knew at least 2 other people cosplaying him, so I figured, "Why not Scout's Mom?" Originally I bought a dress online and modified it to fit me since it was too long and too big (it was actually a bathing suit cover-up, but that was the closest type of dress I could find at the time without making my own, and I wasn't up to sewing anything from scratch at that point in my life). The very first time I wore this, at Connecticon '10, I wore a belt. Since then I've sewn black material to the dress instead and it looks and fits much better. I also chose not to wear a wig the first time, and put bump-its in my hair (my hair was too short so it didn't really work). I now have a wig but it's really frizzy so I might get a new one. Everything else was bought at random stores or I already had it.
