Construction Details:

I rushed this costume out in about 3 days between finishing my exams and going to Japan with felixious. We had both started reading Beelzebub (which had only been out for a month or two at that point) and loved it, and we wanted to cosplay as Oga and Hilda in Japan, the only place where we'd be likely to be recognised. The first time I wore it (in Kawasaki), I accidentally parted my hair over the wrong eye (luckily, Frazzy and her photoshop magic fixed this for us) and I didn't have the correct bra so my boobs weren't as gigantic as Hilda's appear to be. When I wore it for a second time at Auchinawa (Scotland), I parted my hair over the correct eye and used an awesome push-up bra (which resulted in many amusing pokes from my friends who are more used to me crossplaying and having no boobs at all). Unfortunately I forgot to wear my petticoat- however I think that because the skirt wasn't poofed out as much, it allowed the frills to collect closer to each other, which matches the manga a bit more accurately, so this actually ended up working out for the better. The skirt is full enough to not really need a petticoat, IMO.
