About this Costume
Construction Details:
Big red Afro purchased on line. Yellow contacts. Gold crown made with the metallic gold card stock I usually use. Broach I made by getting a large glass stone, painted it light blue. Gave it a gold base and glued gold beads around the jewel. Big petticoat underneath gives the skirt it's shape. Re-did this costume 2 times because the first time I was not happy with the lavender fabric I used. The purple for the sleeves I had bought not enough of and had to go on a goose chase to find more of it!! So I will always remember that. The white square collar was a pain to sew on the bias on. Plus, I had to make lots of adjustments to it right before the con due to finishing it a month ahead of time and actually loosing more weight than I had expected. Her pet cat Sapphire I had with me actually meows!!YAY!( and I kept scaring people around the con wondering what the noise was lol) I bought a barbie princess cat gave it whiskers, painted and altered it to make it look like Sapphire. =^__^=
Personal Thoughts:
I love powerpuff girls Z!!Been a fan since it came out and for years I've been saying I would cosplay princess and I"m glad I did. Being Himeko, the spoiled diva with a double personality was pretty epic!
