Construction Details:

I originally made this costume in 2006 before Kingdom Hearts II came out in the UK, and then I remade parts of it (the trousers, keyblades and shoes) for a convention the summer after, however I was in a rush to help out with the maid cafe so I didn't wear it very long. In these photos are the original keyblades I made (carved out of MDF) as I had already sold the "convention-safe" (UK cosplay prop rules seriously suck) ones I had made out of styrofoam. The costume took me about 50 hours or so (noob cosplayer alert!) and these keyblades took me about 20 hours. I think this costume was a major stepping stone for me as it helped me improve my skills as a cosplayer more than any of my other costumes.
