About this Costume
Construction Details:
This was my first HQ costume, and the very first costume I ever made. I'M DONE! At first I wasn't all too pleased with it since I used two different fabrics--a 2-way stretch for black and 4-way for red--and have thus had a LOT of problems @.@;; I learned a ton while making this costume. Gloves are HARD. Oy, haha. 4-way stretch is good for cheatso gloves, but they're still super difficult. The collar came out REALLY nicely!! :D Probably my favorite part so far. I do love the pom poms on it! :D I think the most difficult part was putting in the zipper in the back, due to the different stretch fabrics. Beyond that,... well that's the main one. The cuffs were difficult as well. But the collar was fun, the hat came together on the first try (at 11:30-1AM the night before I left!). Attaching the diamonds was an interesting task. I ended up using a stretch fabric adhesive. It didn't really stick though, and the diamonds have started to come up.
