I feel like I'm always trying to make this cosplay better. It's been impossible to find the right plaid for Serah's skirt, so I'm thinking about my next upgrade being printing out my OWN plaid for it... but we'll see if I can get access to a large printer for that. Anyway, I patterned the shirt out myself and her strange shrug over-thing. I had help on the skirt, as I had never done a pleated skirt before. In the back there are three golden heart buttons keeping it on my butt. The buttons on the vest are like in the HD-image of Serah where it's plain black buttons with four holes in the middle sewn in an x-pattern. I used large gold buttons on the skirt and a gold ribbon for her skirt front decoration. I have an underskirt with black lace trim to make the lace part on her skirt, but seeing the new screenshots and during gameplay, it looks like the lace is just attached straight onto the skirt, so I plan to remake that part. I've gone through 4 wigs for Serah, before settling on the ones in the photos now. Her hair is so strange, and I also wanted to match my friend who cosplays Lightning! <3 Uhm, her bubble shield is made out of thing random circular thing I had lying around and wrapping linoleum around it and trimming it with gold ribbon. In her new screenshots, her shrugthingie is light pink, but I don't like how that goes with the outfit, so I'm going with the original HD shots and keeping it white. Haha...
