Construction Details:

I love *love* the Cheshire Cat and how mysterious and crazy he is. He's not really a good guy or a bad guy, a very clever character.

I was going for more of a 'messy' 'punk' Cheshire look. I intend to add to this costume in the future and do more elaborate makeup.

CONSTRUCTION:

The Wig is pieced together from with separate wigs.

The Corset was purchased, however, I added the lace, bows, light purple panel in the back, and pink halter straps.

The Tights were purchased

The Arm Warmers were made using heat n bond to apply stripes to a solid piece of lycra

The Tail was made using the head n bond lycra method. I stuffed the tail using Polyfill. I sewed it to a strap that I tie around my waist underneath the petticoat

The Ears were made very last minute ( the night before the con I first wore it to ) I hot glued different layers of colored foam to each other and then attached to those to a headband. A very cheap and simple method.

Furry Wrist Cuffs and Leg Warmers were made by attaching fake fur to thick black elastic. They stay up/on very well!

The Skirt is made of 2 different petticoats/tutus layered on top of each other.

The Shoes are pink furry slippers that were given to me ( gotta love walking around a con all day in slippers! )
