First costume of the new decade! The dress is made of biking red interlock knit, and the yellow cuffs are interfaced spring seasonal interlock knit as well. The waist-cincher is made of pleather and the first thing I made on my cute new serger. :D I then flipped it inside out and topstitched it down, utilizing my clever pleather secret weapon. I have like 6 pairs of black tights that I wear normally, so I just grabbed a pair of those for the costume. I'll probably make my own pair later when I have more time. I based this costume off of a variety of sabrina references, but mostly the in-game sprites and the trading card game art. I would like to get around to making bootcovers at a later point; I didn't really have time for it before A&G. (Still, she does wear black boots with her anime version, so since I'm a conglomeration of variations anyway, I didn't feel too bad about it.) The wig is a super-long heat resistant from Zephyr I got on sale for $40 last spring. It was going to be my aroshi wig, but I hijacked it for Pokemon cosplay when I decided I didn't like the ebay wig I bought last year for it. I didn't have time to treat it before wearing to A&G, and I had to quickly put it on while in my car, so it was a bit messy. :/ for a long wig I didn't have much detangling to do after the con, which was nice, though. I need to cut & style it a little more since I rush-cut it the morning of the convention.
