Construction Details:

I designed the flames by hand onto linen by referring to the manga images, then handstitched them onto interfacing, and then to the outside of each piece of the jacket. I used linen for pants and shirt, and then lined both of them.

Personal Thoughts:

I love this costume, but god, it was hard to make. ;; The most difficult part was sewing the flames on; I used a satin stitch around the edge on each individual piece, then sewed the garment together. I actually ran into Vic Mignogna in the dealer room while wearing this costume, and he said that I'd done a great job on the costume. It was definitely the best part of my 2010 Sakuracon.
