Construction Details:

This costume was quite the journey for me. I made this in 3 days and I don't think I have ever fought so much with fabrics as I did with this costume. Although everything is white..... I had all sorts of shades going on, so it was challenging to figure out how to make everything work. The headpiece was made out of a ladies hat that I cut out the brim to use as a base. Then I made the skeleton of the wing out of wire and foam. Covered everything in white cotton fabric and then made the feathers out of foamies. The pearls were from a floral arrangement bunch that I cut and pasted individually. (she looked like she had bubbles floating around her.... so I used the pearls to give that illusion) For the top, I used vinyl and for the skirt I used organza and a poly-blend. I used white leggings underneath for comfort and modesty. I worked with only the trailer and the 5 seconds of footage for reference. (Pause, Print Screen FTW!!!!) Overall I am very pleased with how it turned out, even though it's kinda ghetto rigged. I used mostly materials that I had so this ended up being pretty inexpensive ^___^ YAYY!
