Boredom leads to huge costume details. tl;dr coming ahead. :X

My group has been excited about this series cosplay since summer of last year. We went to the LA fashion district together to grab matching fabric, and matching buttons for the costume. The trip was awesome! We bought a BOLT of a nice black cotton and like 15 yards of an orange cotton. The buttons we got were plastic, but affordable.

I made my cape a little different from the groups. (I'm a bit anal when constructing stuff like this XD;;) I used a circle pattern instead of just gathering the top of the cape and attaching it to a hood. This allowed for a more flowy and drapey cape.
