Construction Details:

80% of the costume costs were in the beaded straps themselves. So many trial and errors to get it right. You wouldn't think so but it is extremely hard getting those balls at the right size and making them look like smooth pearls. :/



In the end I tried wooden balls and smooth styofoam balls which all didn't work. I resorted to molding each one by hand with model magic but at that point I didn't have enough time for them to dry so it wasn't as perfect as I'd like. I'm currently in the process or redoing those straps.



The straps were such a time consuming process. D: I was so glad the costume turned out well. The dress and everything was completely hand-sewn with love and care~



UPDATE: I redid the straps with ping pong balls. :B I just poked holes through them and I sprayed them the correct color and then sprayed it with a pearl sheen. :B It is now awesome. I should really rewear this again XD
