Construction Details:

I love wearing this beast. It really is a beast! It's made of duchess satin, which is accurate for nobility for the time period. It's all one piece, zips up the sides, and laces up the back with black ribbon. The four bows pin on so I can clean the dress easily. The hat was an ABSOLUTE blast to make. I love fancy hats. It's artist matte base covered with the same pink satin, edged with black ribbon. The flowers are pretty pale pink flowers attached to the brim, and it all sits really pretty on my head. The number of flowers is accurate to the manga and stop near the right ponytail like his. It all attaches with a wide white ribbon. The bow on the back of the hat is white satin as well, with ribbons falling off the back. The choker is lace, not ruffles, just for a little added "oomph" with the pink satin running up the middle. My shoes aren't boots, like Ciel's, but they're super comfortable and victorian leather heels. The gloves are black lycra and they need some work...

Styling Notes

Pigtails are clip on and accurately styled into long pigtails that curl only on the ends, into four tendrils.
