About this Costume
Construction Details:
This one was done strictly on a lark, and partly to test out some of the stuff for doing Kanzeon's typical outfit. The outfit shows up from the waist up for a few pages in the final chapter of Gaiden, where Jiroushin flails around about Kanzeon dressing scandalously whilst se complains about endless paperwork. I made it short because of his reaction -- modesty in India runs hips to ankles as primary, and it seemed an appropriate reference mode.

All in all, a ridiculously easy costume to make. The chemise is linen/cotton, bias-bound at the lower hem to give it a little more weight there. Cuff bracelets were purchased, hideous bling removed, and painted over in a gold shade. The leotard and tights under were also purchased, and lesson learned: I need to take the sleeves on the leotard in so they're less obvious and prone to bunching. T_T Hair's actually two sets of extensions: a long set of wefts styled for the bangs and clipped into the front of my hair, and a long curly drawstring ponytail. It's a little painful, but more from the weight of my hair being pulled up to secure the ponytail onto.

It was rather fun to wear, as long as I didn't think about how short it was. XD And the reactions of my roommates were well worth it!
