About this Costume
Construction Details:
It's made of pink sugar and marshmallow filling!!! Seriously. Hina=Cupcake

Underdress: It's made from Alova, which made it really comfy! It's a really simple sleeveless dress with yoke and gathered bottom with attached ruffles. I also made little half-sleeves to go under her pink sleeves, they're made of plain white cotton and trimmed with the same lace as the rest of the costume.

Overdress: I used a fine wale corduroy for her over dress, I chose it because it was such a pretty color and because it almost looks like velvet (and it was nice since it was a little stiff- it kept the sleeves puffy!)! I used the same pattern as the underdress, modifying it a bit so it closed in the front properly. The sleeves and hem are trimmed with wide cranberry bias tape and cotton scallop lace, and the front and back bows are satin ribbon.

Bloomers: Not much to say, they're cotton with cotton lace trim to keep em frilly.

Hair ribbon: This was probably the hardest part of the entire costume! I made it twice and I'm still not completely happy with it :P It's corduroy with more cotton lace, and attaches with a hair comb.

Tights/Shoes: The tights are from welovecolors. The shoes were an ebay find, I added the laces (more bias tape). I was really pleased because the shoes matched the trim I used perfectly and the square toe reminded me of ballet shoes.

Purse: I thought it would be cute to make the purse she had in the episode where she goes outside to send Jun a letter. It's orange twill with bias tape trim, felt appliques and STRAWBERRY print lining, of course!;D
Personal Thoughts:
I love this costume to death. Pink and ruffles are such a weakness for me, and I really think Hina's adorable *__* The best part was having Suzanami as my Kana and meeting a bunch of sister dolls at the con X3 Oh! And carrying around jumbo crayons and drawing unyuuuuuuuu!
