My best friend decided for Ikasucon 07 that she was going to cosplay Riku from KHII. After much debating over who I could cosplay with her in only a months time, I ended up choosing to go as Selphie. Boy, was I happy I did! I ended up loving Selphie more than I already did after cosplaying her! The wig was my first real experience doing anything gravity-defying and I was surprised at how much easier it was than I expected! I really enjoyed styling the wig and the outcome. The only problem with it that after two days of wear per con the curls would split in half. The plaid in the skirt and tie was entirely hand-painted. I knew immediately I wasn't going to find a fabric that was exactly the way I want it so I never even bothered looking, really. It took a lot of time to do it but I found it really enjoyable. It was definitely worth it in the end.
