About this Costume
Construction Details:
Construction of this costume was probably one of my easiest to date. Everything was really simple to put together and the lines were really neat and clean. The costume itself took me about two days to put together. The pattern this is mostly stemmed on is See & Sew 4426. The fabric I selected from Jo Ann Fabrics is showcase special from the Mediterranean area, so hopefully the flowing the feeling will be 100% accurate. The crown had to be kind of played with some. I wasn't entirely sure how to make a crown that looked similar to hers, and so I picked the cheap and fun - yet painstaking and annoying - way of using craft foam. I had some plastic gems hanging around from when I did my Amano Aeris costume and re-used those for the torquise that Olmypias wore.
Personal Thoughts:
I hope you enjoy the pictures of the Queen of Macedonia!
