About this Costume
Construction Details:
If you've ever seen this, you know that this show is visually, well, stimulating. There are no solid colors and no still patterns -- every pattern is actually a layer or filter which shows through a mask as characters and backgrounds move. So the challenge is to create a costume which appears to move.... Fortunately the Count has the most stable (black!) clothing. We had the best success with Albert, whose clothing really did move with him!

$$$ prosthetic forehead decor
$$$ original jacket (flames! lots of flames!)
$$$ original cloak (enormous cut, fabulous drape, of crepe with cut beads)
$$$ original pants (see the Gankutsuou pattern?)
$$$ staff, in holographic vinyl
$$$ wig -- SIX colors added to give textured effect
$$$ beard, latex ears
$$$ fangs
$$$ earring
$$$ blue gloves with hand markings, nails
$$$ white gloves (purchased)
$$$ iridescent violet jabot
$$$ hat (purchased)
$$$ heeled boots (reused from other costumes)
