Construction Details:

Yay its finally done! This is my own original design valkyrie costume I have had in the making for 2 years. So much has changed. I wanted her to be more menacing so I crafted some armor for her boots and gloves, added armor to the belt and created a new way to attach the wings to the shoulders. The wings are stiff so they simply slip over and rest on my shoulders, they are so light I could barely feel them! The armor i made using a layer of craft foam, laid over with wonderflex and them layered over with table top vinyl! It was very experimental but it worked like a charm! The head piece I made a long time ago from fiberglass and decided to design the costume based on the helmet.

Personal Thoughts:

All the swirly designs on the back of the skirt i painted using fabric paint and some wall border stencils I found at Michael's craft store!
