My biggest draw for cosplay are the theatrics of being able to evoke the image of a favorite character in both image and movement. Cosplay is not only an art in and of itself, but a collection of so many arts, which together require such a range of skill that it feels like magic to me. I might be considered a bit "new" to the game, but I have a deep passion for what I do, and an ardent love for this subculture that allows cosplay to not only be accepted, but celebrated. When everything comes together, and you can effectively "become" a character after working so hard for it...in a way, it really is magic.
