I have been going to cons since 1999. i have cosplayed since my second con (as i was amazed at the first that people dressed up) i have made my own costumes from the third con forward. I am a firm believer in dressing for you body type, basically dressing as a character that suits you and your body. I am also a believer in detail, if you are going to make a costume of a specific character, get specific with the details.
