About this Costume
Construction Details:
Started patterning mid summer of 2013, finished wig late January 2014.

Shirt: first time ever patterning a shirt, first time ever using jersey. Thin, cheapass, discount $1/yard jersey because I felt like asking for trouble with my sewing machine. Double needle used around sleeve ends and bottom to give it a more "store-bought tshirt"ish appearance. Accidentally bought something that wasn't actually iron-on transfer paper, it's more like iron-on printed cotton. It can be peeled off, so the graphic is on the list of "to re-do"s.

Skirt: thrifted a long pencil skirt because I loved the weight and color of the fabric. Took the rest of the skirt out of the waist band, left the waist band in tact but removed all belt loops. Cut up and reassembled the fabric to be a long strip, pleated it, and reattached to waistband. Placed its zipper up the front under the "middle" pleat. Still needs the other two buttons.

Thought I had cannon socks until I heard the reference I was looking at had them uncolored and that they should be light pink. *shrugs*

Personal Thoughts:

So this was my first cosplay. Personally, I think I bit off a bit much, but I'm still very happy with it. Basically I reeeeeaaally really love Misha, and this outfit is why I downloaded KS back in 2012. So it only made sense to do a tribute to it~

So in my Ohayocon pic, I forgot my nude bra at home, hahaha, and even though I had on a camisole, my blue one was too bright to wear... so I went without... so the shirt did not fit the way it was supposed to. I'm actually not that sad I didn't find any con pictures afterwards because of that. In the Colossal pics, I not only had a bra but I stuffed it too, since Misha is much more.... endowed than I am.

About the wig, I just have a feeling I'll never achieve the drills the way I want to. They are like wearing ear muffs, too, you have to pull the drill back just to hear people. Oh well, I can always wash it again and start over.

I'm going to improve her bit by bit, redoing the wig until I'm happy + one outfit task for each con.
