About this Costume
Construction Details:
♥~Corset~♥I modified my Mami corset pattern into an overbust pattern and then drafted the overlayer to match Lilana's design. I used purple & lilac charmeuse to make the over layer, cotton for the lining, coutil for the corset base, and black velvet ribbon for the accenting. I hand-fixed the studs on her corset after attaching the black velvet ribbon (the studs alone took at least 10+hours to accomplish).
The base pattern for the sleeve piece was drafted with the help of Shocktress due to a time-crunch. It is fully lined and made from the matching purple charmeuse and trimmed with white hand-made casa satin bias tape. I used a combination of several different venice laces (the main piece of which I whitened from Ivory), hand-beading (with vintage glass pearls & Miyuki seed & bugle beads), hand-embroidery, applique with casa satin, and the final touches were several different types of Swarovski Crystals both of the regular & hotfix variety. This embellishment accounted for a good portion of the overall time I spent on this costume on a single piece (approx. 1.5mo) and was almost all done by hand.

♥~Skirt~♥A bias-cut skirt made from matching purple charmeuse.

♥~Boots~♥I bought the boots on eBay that were modified to have the garter straps. There are just stand-in boots until I can make even more accurate boots which are currently in-progress.

♥~Bracelets~♥I made them from several types brass pieces that I fashioned into her bracelets.

♥~Veil~♥I made the veil out of anodized aluminum rings utilizing a basic 4 in 1 weave, it was my very first time weaving chain-mail.

♥~Headpiece~♥
I patterned it with the help of Shocktress on clean-up/touch-up duty. I then formed it out of worbla. I sealed the worbla & Shocktress base painted it due to a time crunch. The Gems are almost all Swarovski Crystal except for the big focal which was cast by Shocktress while making other stuff.
This was my 3rd attempt at making this with a different material and my 1st time ever working with worbla.

♥~Gloves~♥I found the perfect pair online.

♥~Fur~♥I made it out of an eco-friendly reclaimed fox tail (I felt weird about this & thus was extremely picky when looking & obtaining this piece) and some cord.

♥~Neck Corset~♥I drafted the pattern off of examples I found but altered it heavily. The detailing is all metal and the main part is made from metallic fabric. It is fully boned and lined.

♥~Belt~♥Made from a combination of metal findings, jump rings, chainmail rings, hand-damped brass (I dammped it myself), a resin gem Shocktress cast for me, and some minor wire-work. I had to custom color some of the metal findings to match.

♥~Brooch~♥Made from a combination of metal findings, wire work & an antique brooch Shocktress gave to me.
