Construction Details:

The cloak is a 3/4 circle cape, two layers (one full cape, one capelet). First time having to make something like this, and although there were some hurdles, it's fun to swoosh around in!

The shirt I bought and then altered the cuffs, and added the decorative stitching and buttons, etc. I have little patience to make unlined shirts like this from scratch...

The vest I patterned out. The easiest thing about this costume for sure, but I wish I had made the front panels a bit wider. It's reversible so I can paint frost on one side, and still use the other for human Jack!

The pants... were a process. I was not happy with the first pair I made for Jack Frost, so I remade with a different method. They are made of wool, and after several splatterings of bleach at different intervals, I managed a pretty nice mottled effect.

Personal Thoughts:

I wanted to grab some photos of human Jack before using this for colonial Jack Frost, which I'll be painting frost onto. I'll be remaking certain items (cloak, pants) so that I can have both versions at once, and have proper photoshoots (as these photos are self-photographed).

My dream is to have a photoshoot on a frozen pond.
