Cosplayer Luluko > Costume of Ramona Flowers from Scott Pilgrim
About this Costume
- Construction Details:
- the jacket was found at Goodwill and modified. I added custom straps to the shoes with hand-placed studs and hand-made buckles. the dress was completely patterned by me and made from - gasp - satin from SAS. I made a tulle underskirt to go underneath it but it was flat and unnoticeable because I didn't quite understand the concept of a petticoat, or a circle skirt, or using tulle. the hair clip was made from felt hand-stitched together. the bag was completely patterned by me, unfortunately I made it before I found out what heavy interfacing was. it was made with broadcloth and the reverse side of a glitter satin from the remnants bin... I think that's where I got my love of using the wrong side of satin!
at the time I was very proud of how hard I strived for accuracy. I think i did a damn good job for my skills at the time - especially since it's near impossible to get the colors right for this costume - but this is on my list of things to remake in the future.
- Personal Thoughts:
- probably my favorite character to cosplay, ever.
