About this Costume
Construction Details:
Cosplay completely constructed by me (excluding tights, pointe shoes, contacts, base wig)

Bodice and tutu overly are made out of black stretch fabric. Thus allowing the bodice to bend and move with the body. I choose this fabric to give the costume a rcih stage like look and feel. The under overlay is composed of black mesh with ostrich feathers along the edge. I choose ostrich feathers because they are very light and would not make the tutu droop as much as heavier feathers would. The tutu is made out of heavy knit diamond tulle. I handmade the hoop out of thine metal wire so I would have the freedom to adjust the tutu while in large crowds at the convention.

I used an old pair of pointe shoes that I had previously dyed black for a dance show. I simply used black calligraphy ink that you can pick up at your local craft store and use 2-3 coats on my pointe shoes.

If you have any questions please feel free to ask.

If you would like a more in depth look at the construction of this cosplay head over to Deviantart, username TheRestless88, and look in my construction folder

Side-note: I am a classically trained dancer and have spent a very many years dancing en pointe. I highly advise those who have not been properly trained to not try and go en pointe for the simple reason that I would not like to see any of my fellow cosplays to injure themselves. Thank you
