Construction Details:

I'm probably most proud of the tie. I had this random black fabric in my scrap pile that felt and looked a lot like silk (I don't know what is really is, I grabbed it from Ko at some point). The stripes are bias tape, which are sewn down by machine on the inner crease, and then slip stitched down on the outside by hand. I made the tie fake, so I made a bow and attached to to the tails. There is a pin sewn on the back to attach it to the shirt. For the hair band and bow, I got lazy and used Liquid Stitch to glue down the bias tape. The part that goes around my head is elastic, which is good because I ran out of bias tape! I later made a new one in purple so that it would match the anime.

I also made a little Ni plushie that sits in my shirt pocket. He is most derp. XD

Shirt, belt, socks, and shoes from closet and/or other costumes. I made the skirt.

Personal Thoughts:

Shiemi is so adorable, I love her!! XD

I was part of the promotion events for this series at Anime Expo 2011 and it was a lot of fun!

Styling Notes

Added a quicky ahoge with just some strand from the wig's bangs, some hairspray, and a blast from the hairdryer. I later added another ahoge so I'd have two.
