Construction Details:

Making this year's costume was an interesting experience... Granted, every year is an experience, but this year I learned the value of time. We started later than usual on these costumes, and yet we still ended up dedicating the same amount of time and effort we have in the past. Meaning there were a lot of long long nights that led into mornings ^_^; This year we chose to cosplay from another video game called Eternal Sonata. We already wanted to cosplay as characters from this game before we even started playing it. Overall, I'm pretty proud of how we improved quality-wise. Everything was pretty much made from scratch. I made the sword much lighter and more sturdy; I could hold it (for the most part) properly and it didn't kill my arms too much to pose with. I was able to make neater seams and my handsewing didn't look like crap. Oh! And the boots were GOOD this year, and I could stand and pose and walk in them without being uncomfortable. Last but not least, these costumes have proven to be fairly durable; I think they'll survive another con or two! ^_^
