About this Costume
Construction Details:
Top: I painted large aluminum scales originally in brushed gold with various green nail polish and joined them together with jumprings. I added a twill backing to it for stabilization. I added decorative stitches by hand with grey embroidery thread to the white pieces. Had a hard time making 2 toned gloves. Cast resin gems colored with nail polish and sculpted settings for them with fimo air.

Bottoms: More resin gems colored with nail polish. Used 7-8oz veg-tanned leather for the belts, cut, smooth, and painted them. Used sintra for belt buckle base with worbla accents. Made giant fluffy bows by layering felt, batting, and fleece. Scallops for thigh highs (and wristlets) were traced using an extra scale that wasn't used for the top.

Cape & Boots: Added thick interfacing for the collar of the cape. Cape is lined with upholstery velvet for weight. Boots were a little rushed but wanted to unify the lighter purples (a taffeta-type from the gloves used as bias, upholstery velvet from cape used as shoe collar/accent).

Wig: Originally a Jeannie and Luthian in platinum blonde, gradient-dyed using 70% rubbing alcohol and copic marker refill mixture. I used refill colors apple green and spectrum green. It ended up too potent and had to soak in just the 70% alcohol to try to get some of it out. Used baby powder to further soften the colors of the wig.
Personal Thoughts:
Is it 애교 time?
Yes. Yes it is.

Wig Review
Tangles like nothing but pretty. Comb could be a bit further back to keep hairline out of sight better.
