Since people are asking, the panels are all heat-formed plastic sheets and the trim is all craft foam, cut and trimmed and painted carefully. The entire structure is one whole solid piece that goes right on and come right off in seconds. There's no need to remove or adjust the shoulder armor. Shoulder pads and more craft foam inside keep the shoulders from drooping. Tie straps in the back secure the armor to the body (like a bra) and it's extremely light. The cape was permanently attached later.
