We're back for our fifth year and for this milestone, we've got a slew of guests and events in the works for this weekend of fun and fandom. So, stay tuned and hope to see you there!

* Attendees Ages 16 and older admitted with valid government ID (driver's license, military, passport etc) at registration. Minors younger than 16 must have an adult be present at registration to sign-off on their registration form. An adult can sign-off all minors in their party.

Meet key members of the head staff and get the inside scoop of what's planned for 2009. Join up to help guide the future of MomoCon while having a great time and meeting some of the most driven and talented con staff in the South (imho). We'll also be rolling out a special time-sensitive perk for any Staffers attending Atlanta Supercon (thanks Mike!)

Can't make this one. Next Staff & Recruitment meeting is Sunday Dec 7th, 3pm. Same room.

And don't worry, all staffer except for certain areas (Tournaments, Security) are welcome to cosplay while performing their duties.

Well it's that time again...Staff Recruitment & Meeting time! So, if you want to enlist with the MomoCon crew, join us this Sat (24th) from 5pm - 7pm in room 343 of the Georgia Tech Student Center, where the Artists Alley in 2008 was placed. Only 2 more chances after this one; we won't be taking any on-site volunteers this year.

Our last pre-con fan table will be at the Atlanta Comic Con (http://www.atlantacomicconvention.com/) Sunday Feb 1st. We'll have our Convention On Tour t-shirts available for sale, but don't forget to pre-order 2009's shirt at MomoCon.com

Tons of updates at MomoCon.com (including schedules!), but it's pretty obvious the ones people here are most interested in being a cosplay site and all:

Original designs are accepted. Look at rules #6 and #7 for what types of costumes are restricted.

I encourage everyone to review the rules closely and print out the entry form beforehand as well as fill it out. It'll speed up your entry as help you get into one of the 100 guaranteed slots. Any sign-ups after that are "Stand-by" and will be judged depending on available time and if are judges aren't burnt out. FYI: Only one segment of the walk-on form needs to be filled out. That file is the one we use then cut for use at the con.

Well folks, with MomoCon only days away, the Staff is in "Red Alert" mode with preparations. We're really pumped about the fun weekend of events we have in store for you: our first band the Extraordinary Contraptions, Seraphina's Otaku Fusion Belly Dancing among our new offerings along with old favorites like the Retro Console Room, Tournaments, Card-Board gaming rooms, panels upon panels galore and more!

Don't let possibility of rain scare you from exploring everything both buildings have to offer. You'll miss out on half the convention if you hideaway in just one. So make that short sprint up the sidewalk to the Instructional Center.

If you've enjoyed our previous opening video parodies: Iron Chef, Law & Order, and Saw, you'll want to grab a seat at opening ceremonies for this year's. It's also the only way to enter the "Farthest From" Contest.

Thanks to everyone who braved the cold and wet weather to come by MomoCon 2009. While their were many challenges, the Staff and I had a blast putting it on.
