Hey there- I'm new to cosplaying and have till October to make an outfit.

I have a little sewing skill so that's alright, I just need some ideas and suggestions of who I should cosplay.

I'd probably only do a character I know but I'm not going to post all everyone so post anyone!

(sorry if they turn out big O;<)

-petite (5ft)
-long brown hair
-blue/green eyes

I say you could probably get away with cosplaying most young cute characters.

Now just for the character, hmm..

I was thinking maybe Miwako from Paradise Kiss?

(I piece'd the image together ;D)

Any thoughts? Perhaps on fabric, difficulty or shape?

Like allot of people have said you could probably get way with allot of cute young outfits, so school uniforms and stuff like that.

Since its your 1st time, do you want to use a wig, are you basic at sewing or you know how to read patterns and sew pants and shorts etc.

because you could do anything from Sailor Moon up to X/1999, i am not too sure what anime and games know so you can even do Final fantasy

You would definately make a good miwako. the outfit you posted wouldn't be too hard to find a pattern for and make. you might have a little difficulty finding a fabric that has the right print, though.

Update~!

I'm still working on the dress, which is coming along nicely, although now I have the wig, socks and shoes i'm going to wear with it. ^_^

Here's some pictures just to update.. I'm considering maybe trimming the wig abit, do you think I should?

I believe so because right now the length of it reminds me of Mignon from King of Fighters...

I really think it's up to personal preference because her hair is different in almost every episode. Sometimes she has it waaay longer, and sometimes she has it in like curly bun things. I think it's fine just the way it is, but it wouldn't look bad shorter, either.
