Ok, so I've tried looking online and I must be looking in the wrong places cause I can't find what I need. I'm looking for patterns for these two costumes:
The girl... click
Kagome... click
In the first for the girl (Jibril), it looks simple enough, but I've never made a costume before, so this is new to me. I have some sewing skills and I took fashion design in school, so I have made simple things. I just can't find a pattern for a dress that dips down in the back like this one does. If it's a pattern that I'll have to make or customize, I'll need hel pwith doing these thigns as well. I'm pretteh sure I can make everything else for this costume, just confused on the back part of this dress. Oh and if it helps to know my size, I'm about 130 pounds and 5'4''-ish.
As for the Kagome one. I'm helping my niece make this and she's a pretteh big girl, 5'9'' and over 200 pounds at the age of 13, so I'm having problems finding a pattern that will work with her size. I've never owrrked off a smaller pattern to make something bigger and I've never made my own patterns before. She has no skills in sewing (hence why I'm helping her). Sorry, I kinda new to this stuff and I would appreciate any help on these matters. =)

Easier than it looks. For the girls dress go to the historical section at your Fabric store (like JoAnn's) that will give you most of the pattern. You shorten the panels at one end making the formost (front) panel the length you want (so the back part hits the ankles and the front hits the knees for example). so when drawn out it looks like an Elipse/egg shape.
As for kagome. Add yardage. It will take some math and reasdjust ment add a few inches to the length that will help account for the hips and thights. I'm a big girl, always have been so I know her pain. For the top it's about the same just remember to add a bigger dart for the Bust. Most patterns are made to fit a B cup, us big girls tend to have quite a bit more than that.
Hope that helps
